Powder Coating
Why Powder Coat instead of spray paint?
Powder-Coating offers a simple solution to several challenges associated with repainting and protecting compressor parts:

1. Durability: Powder-coating easily produces thicker coatings than convential liquid coatings, and is lower maintenance over time, with inherent corrosion and acid/solvent resistance.

2. Consistency: A uniform coating can be applied to all surfaces, both exposed and hidden, without running. The result is an even, consistent coating with amazing hardness and durability, far superior to conventional liquid paints, which then offers good electrical insulation capabilities.

3. Efficiency: A powder-coated part can be returned to service as it returns to room temperature. Spray-paint requires 12-18 hours to completely dry.

4. Environmental Protection: Powder-coating emits very few volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. Powder-coating production lines produce less hazardous waste than conventional liquid coatings, which makes them energy and material efficient.

5. Appearance: A wide range of gloss and specialty effects - impossible to achieve with other coating processes - is easily accomplished with powder-coat, including chrome and mirror finishes.
